Matt's journey began with an active childhood, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a strong sense of community.
As a young man, Matt excelled in various pursuits, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts and serving as the Team Captain for his high school wrestling team. Following high school, he dedicated two years of service on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Northern New England, covering Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire.
Continuing his education at Brigham Young University, Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management. During his time at BYU, he ventured into the business world, joining ATEK Defense Systems. It was here that he crossed paths with Paul Hutchinson, a mentor who played a pivotal role in shaping Matt's career trajectory.
While working for ATEK Defense, Matt led a manufacturing group responsible for assembling bulletproof vests. This experience laid the foundation for his transition to Vertrad, where he took on a multifaceted role encompassing sales, business operations, and marketing. Partway through his time at Vertrad, Matt took on the role of CEO at a startup sister company, Safe Haven Private Vaults, where he primarily oversaw business operations and marketing efforts.
Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, Matt shifted gears to focus on humanitarian efforts. He became the Executive Business Partner for Liberating Humanity, contributing to the organization's logistics and branding. Simultaneously, he continued to be a strategic partner to the Child Liberation Foundation (CLF), aiming to assist individuals who have suffered trauma, emphasizing organization and executive functioning.
Matt's dedication to helping others is not just a professional commitment but a personal mission rooted in his upbringing. As the Outreach Coordinator for the Child Liberation Foundation, he utilizes his diverse skill set to contribute to the organization's goals. Matt's enthusiasm for aiding children in their healing process aligns seamlessly with his lifelong values of service and community support.
